Ann & David Russell completed the building of Greenfields house in 2003. The neo-georgian design blends naturally with the local north Cork landscape. The tranquil setting of the house, with views over the meadows and mountain hills, is conveniently located just outside the historic village of Kildorrery, which is on the Mallow to Mitchelstown Rd. The house has 4 large and beautifully appointed en-suite bedrooms, each with stunning views over the surrounding meadows that give the house its name. Gourmet breakfasts, in the delightful Dining Room, are included in the terms. Evening meals by arrangement.

Location
Kildorrery, being central, in north Cork, is well placed to act as a base for touring. There are a number of general shops, bars a garage, and a church. It is a centre for Mountain walking, Fly and Coarse fishing, Clay Pigeon and Game Shooting. Mitchelstown 18 hole championship and Doneraille 9 hole both offer day membership. For the walkers or amblers, a gentle stroll in any direction will uncover the history of the area. From a very well preserved Mass Rock to the ruins of Bowens Court and chapel. A 10 min drive to Glanworth and you can explore a Megalithic Tomb, a Castle and an Abbey. |
